About
Mechanical tinkerer turned lab tester, I build fixtures to expose wobble modes and document what stability really feels like at working height.
Core Beliefs
If a desk isn’t stable at your height, everything else is optional.
Background
In a client’s home studio, a 6'4" editor showed me his pricey desk that shook every time he tapped the arrow keys. We bolted my test accelerometer to the top and graphed the resonance at 1.7 Hz. He returned it the next day and never ignored stability again.
Perspective
I favor lateral stiffness, low vibration, and quiet actuation over cosmetics or extras.
